On the first official day of Spring Break ? this March 11th -temperatures dipped to or below the freezing mark for many areas including Denton, Fort Worth and McKinney. ?DFW averages a last freeze for the season around March 13th and this very well may be the last time we get this close to freezing this season. ?Below are the low temperatures for the Metroplex and North Texas.
Rain chances in rear view mirror ? After this past weekend?s cold front slammed us with severe storms Saturday night and a blast of cold air on gusty northwest winds Sunday morning, temperatures will rise to the 60 degree mark for many areas compared to yesterday afternoon?s upper 40s and low 50s. ?Certainly an improvement, but likely this week?s pick to vote off the island for best day of the week.
Catching a break for Spring Break this week as a warm, dry pattern takes over with two cold fronts expected to have little impact for North Texas. ?The first fades out over us late Tuesday and the second Saturday night with only small possibilities for rain or a significant cool down. ?Certainly Chamber of Commerce weather with afternoons besting our averages highs near 67-68 degrees.
