Humpty Dumpty Institute (HDI) was established in 1998 by a small group of business entrepreneurs. The ideas was to create a non-profit that would tackle a few tough international problems. ?One of HDI?s core interest involves the key relationship between the United State and the United Nations. Over the years, HDI has seen success, but still has a lot of work to do. HDI is always looking for partners who can help turn good ideas into effective programs. HDI has earned a reputation for strengthening ties between the U.S. Congress and the United Nations through a series of non-partisan programs.
Connie Milstein, is one of four founders of HDI. Milstein is the Principal of Ogden CAP Properties, LLC, a New York Property Management and development company. ?As a highly successful businesswoman, Milstein has her hand in many philanthropic endeavors. She?s involved with medical research, international relations and issues, support of military families, and cultural organizations.?Milstein has won several awards recongizing her achievements in philanthropy.
HDI recently announced the addition of two new members of the Congressional Advisory Board, Congresswoman Marcia Fudge (Democrat-Ohio) and Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (Democrat-Florida). ?The two new members were brought on board to help HDI?s program planning and increase educational opportunities for children around the world.
Congresswoman Fudge serves both the Committee on Agriculture and Committee on Education and the Workforce. Fudge has a dedication to nutrition and has experience developing programs. Fudge also has experience working with public education and voters? rights programs.
Congresswoman Wilson was first elected to the Florida State House of Representatives in 1998. ?Currently, Wilson serves on the Congressional House Committee on Foreign Affairs and the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology. ?Wilson has experience working on bipartisan legislation and has focused on increasing jobs.
The addition of member Fudge and Wilson brings the Congressional Advisory Board up to 29 total members. The growing membership is an exciting opportunity for HDI to expand program initiatives and make a difference.
